After two hours drawing and colouring on a bamboo, I am ready to sever my right arm below the elbow. Happy St.Paddys day……. whenever that is….or was. Apologies Irish friends.

So this a little something I put together this evening. I’ve been watching ‘Exit Through the Gift Shop’ again and again, and was feeling a little inspired I guess. I was hoping to figure out how to create a rolling image sequence in one post on tumblr. However, I think that might involve mucking around in HTML, and I have zero skill in that department. So I hope, if you are interested, you will go back over the last 5 or 6 posts to see how it progressed. My colour work is beyond terrible at this point. Sooner or later I’ll put more time into that aspect of the process. Cheers.

Was thinking about the good ol’ bus days today. Mainly the people I remember seeing on bus rides. This lady is no one in particular. Just a patron whose fallen asleep somewhere between point A and point B. This is a typical sighting up here in the winter, when temperatures outside are well below zero, while those on the buses are borderline tropical.

Oi!! Chin up fella!!
Double O-ski and T-spot shared some rad colour tips with me at work this evening. This was a first go at it using the information they passed on. I drew the line work at home and took a photo of it since I am scanner-less. About 2/3rds of the way through colour I realized I didn’t check the resolution (150). I did some hasty experiments to try and bring it up while retaining a reasonable measure of clarity and line quality. In the end it stayed at 150, and I added a little sharpening. Sincerest apologies to your eyeballs.

Cut and Paste BG test - Street Ext.
These BG tests were roughed in pencil to start, then assembled using dozens and dozens of images chopped up and fit into place. After making tweaks to perspectives and cleaning up the pieces, I ran a modest cutout filter over the entire flattened image, then a colour pass. It was a fun project.
